What to Expect at Camp
Our retreat programming is built around the Joyous Islam theme, focusing on cultivating joy in self, family, and community. Sessions and activities are designed to be engaging, meaningful, and accessible for all ages.
Age-Based Programming
Children will be grouped into broader age tracks, allowing for smoother scheduling while encouraging connection within and across age groups. Classes and activities will be tailored to each age group's developmental level:
- • K–2nd Grade
- • 3rd–5th Grade
- • 6th–8th Grade
- • 9th–12th Grade
Programming Format
Programming will include a variety of formats, such as interactive sessions, panels, and group discussions, rather than lecture-only sessions. Speakers will include a mix of local educators and community voices, offering diverse perspectives and experiences.
Daily Structure
The retreat will run from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Each day will include:
- • All five daily prayers
- • Ample free and structured activity time, especially in the afternoons
- • Evening programming, including campfires, s'mores, talent shows, and social events for adults
The schedule is designed to balance learning, worship, rest, and fun, creating a relaxed and joyful retreat experience for the whole family.
